Why does amenorrhea occur?

Why does amenorrhea occur?

In the past, people with amenorrhea generally did not dare to seek treatment because they felt it was an unspeakable secret. However, with the continuous development of society, this is no longer an inconvenient topic. Of course, there are many methods to treat amenorrhea. So why does amenorrhea occur? There are many reasons, and they are different for each person, so we cannot generalize. Let us now understand why amenorrhea occurs.

With the development of modern society, amenorrhea is no longer an unspeakable topic, especially among adolescent girls who may also experience amenorrhea in some cases. Many girls find menstruation troublesome, so when amenorrhea occurs, few people seek medical treatment in time, which delays the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Therefore, experts say that girls must have more correct knowledge about menstruation. Now, experts will tell adolescent girls about the symptoms of amenorrhea.

Amenorrhea is a common symptom in gynecological diseases and can be caused by a variety of different reasons. Amenorrhea is divided into primary amenorrhea and secondary amenorrhea.

Primary amenorrhea:

Primary amenorrhea refers to women who are over 18 years old or whose secondary sexual characteristics have matured for more than 2 years but still have no menstruation. It is seen in diseases such as pseudoamenorrhea caused by genital tract atresia, congenital genital tract developmental abnormalities such as incomplete or absent uterus, congenital ovarian hypoplasia or absence, central lesions (primary pituitary hypogonadotropin, tumors, etc.) and congenital adrenal hyperplasia. In addition to amenorrhea, some are accompanied by abnormalities in growth, intelligence, appearance, and secondary sexual characteristics.

Secondary amenorrhea:

It refers to those who used to have regular menstruation, but whose menstruation stopped for more than 6 months due to some reason. Common causes include endometrial damage or adhesion (common in multiple curettages and excessive damage to the endometrium during curettage, resulting in intrauterine adhesions) and tuberculous endometritis, premature ovarian failure and polycystic ovaries, functional ovarian tumors, environmental changes, mental trauma, malnutrition and other external factors, taking birth control pills, abnormal function of central nervous system tumors, etc. Functional hypothalamic amenorrhea is common in adolescents, due to high stress, weight loss, excessive focus on body shape, excessive exercise, etc. Of course, organic diseases must be excluded.

For amenorrhea, Chinese medicine cyclical treatment can be used. This therapy focuses on adjusting the body's functions. While providing cyclical treatment and conditioning for infertile women, it can also achieve the effects of regulating qi and blood, tonifying the kidneys, supporting the spleen, and soothing the liver. Therefore, when treating diseases, women should pay more attention to the effectiveness of the treatment and not blindly pursue the speed and convenience of treatment. Only by following the doctor's instructions and undergoing examinations and treatments according to the course of treatment can we better ensure the efficacy and achieve the goal of pregnancy and childbirth.

The above answers the question of why amenorrhea occurs. For people who often suffer from amenorrhea, what they need to understand is the treatment method, rather than understanding the cause of amenorrhea. Only by finding the most appropriate and effective treatment method can people recover faster, and only when menstruation is normal can people work and study better.
