How to diagnose polycystic ovary?

Nowadays, the phenomenon of infertility is more and more common. Since it is infertility, it is related to both husband and wife. Some of the causes of infertility are due to external environmental factors, while others are due to health problems of both husband and wife. Female infertility is usually caused by uterine damage. In fact, ovarian abnormalities can also cause infertility. So do you know what polycystic ovary is? How to judge polycystic ovary?

The key points for the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome are as follows:

(1) It is common in young and middle-aged women and accounts for a certain proportion of infertility.

(2) Clinical manifestations include obesity, hirsutism, infrequent menstruation or amenorrhea. According to statistics, 51% of patients suffer from amenorrhea due to anovulation, and 29% of patients have dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

(3)Basal body temperature usually changes in a single phase.

(4) The main pathological manifestations are thickening of the bilateral ovarian capsule, cystic development of the ovarian follicles, multicystic enlargement of the ovaries, and anovulation.

(5) Pneumoperitoneumography, laparoscopy or B-ultrasound showed that both ovaries were larger than 1/4 of the normal uterine body, with multicystic follicles, hyperplasia of theca cells, and no visible corpus luteum.

(6) Hormone measurement showed that blood testosterone was high, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) baseline value was low, luteinizing hormone (LH) baseline value was high, and IH/FSH ratio was >3.

At present, the medical community believes that the cause of PCOS is unclear and the disease is mainly related to genetic and environmental factors.

It is often caused by mental stress, drug abuse or other diseases. The main manifestation is that the ovarian follicles cannot mature and cannot ovulate, but form cystic follicles and finally become polycystic ovaries.

The syndrome is characterized by chronic anovulation, amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea, infertility, obesity, hirsutism and polycystic ovary enlargement. It is currently found to have a very high incidence among professional women, especially senior white-collar workers. The diagnosis can be confirmed through B-ultrasound examination, hormone level measurement, and laparoscopy.

Young and middle-aged women must pay attention. If they have always wanted to have a child but cannot and have the above symptoms, these female friends may wish to try to check whether they have polycystic ovary disease. It is always better than seeking medical treatment in a hurry.
