Why is there blood in the discharge?

For female friends, secretions are liquids that flow out of the vagina. Normal secretions are colorless and have a slightly fishy smell. However, abnormal secretions are also a common gynecological problem. So what happens if there is blood in the secretions? By reading the following article, we can find ways to help you, and we can also learn more related content and increase some knowledge about women.

There are two possible causes for bloody leucorrhea after menstruation, physiological and pathological. Generally, it occurs during the ovulation period of women, that is, in the middle of the menstrual period. It refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods. There is a high probability of lower abdominal pain. This is a physiological reason for bloody leucorrhea after menstruation. However, pathological bloody leucorrhea after menstruation may be caused by gynecological diseases, which require timely examination, identification of symptoms, and targeted treatment.

Why does a woman have blood in her leucorrhea after her menstrual period?

1. Suffering from acute vaginitis. The main manifestation of this disease is an increase in leucorrhea, which is yellow, watery or purulent and has a foul odor. In severe cases, vaginal bleeding may also occur.

2. For severe cervical erosion. Symptoms include increased vaginal discharge, yellowing, becoming sticky and smelly, vulvar itching, bleeding during sexual intercourse, lower back pain, and severe dysmenorrhea.

3. Cervical polyps are a type of chronic cervicitis, which can cause yellow leucorrhea with an odor and blood in the leucorrhea.

4. Cervical cancer. After sexual intercourse, there will be a small amount of vaginal discharge and blood.

5. Endometrial cancer. The clinical manifestation is irregular bleeding, with the amount of bleeding sometimes more and sometimes less. Non-menopausal women may have prolonged menstrual flow, and postmenopausal women will experience postmenopausal bleeding.

6. The clinical manifestation of senile vaginitis is that the vaginal discharge will increase, the color will be light yellow, and in severe cases, there will be bloody purulent leucorrhea.

For female friends who suffer from the symptoms described above, it is best to go to the hospital for an examination so that the cause can be confirmed and then symptomatic treatment can be given. Generally, you cannot take medicine on your own as it will delay the disease. The key to treating abnormal leucorrhea is to treat other diseases.
