Ectopic pregnancy term explanation

Ectopic pregnancy term explanation

When it comes to the term ectopic pregnancy, I believe most people don’t know about it, but when it comes to ectopic pregnancy, everyone is very familiar with it. In fact, the definitions of ectopic pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy are the same, but the meanings they express are somewhat different. In comparison, the meaning of ectopic pregnancy is broader than that of ectopic pregnancy, but the harm they cause to the female body is the same. Female friends must not take it lightly. So what exactly is an ectopic pregnancy?

When the fertilized egg implants and develops outside the uterine cavity, it is called an "ectopic pregnancy" or "ectopic pregnancy". However, the two have slightly different meanings. Ectopic pregnancy refers to pregnancy outside the uterus, such as fallopian tube pregnancy, ovarian pregnancy, abdominal pregnancy, and broad ligament pregnancy; ectopic pregnancy refers to pregnancy in which the fertilized egg is located outside the normal implantation site, and can also include cervical pregnancy, interstitial pregnancy, and uterine rudimentary horn pregnancy. Therefore, the name ectopic pregnancy has a broader meaning.

There are no disease names such as "ectopic pregnancy" and "ectopic pregnancy" in traditional Chinese medicine literature, but there are descriptions of similar symptoms in diseases such as "abdominal pain due to amenorrhea", "blood stasis in the lower abdomen", "menstrual leakage", "amenorrhea" and "mass masses".

Among ectopic pregnancies, fallopian tube pregnancy is the most common, accounting for about 90%-95%, so this section will use it as an example. When tubal pregnancy ruptures, it can cause acute intra-abdominal hemorrhage. The onset is rapid, the condition is severe, and improper treatment can be life-threatening. It is one of the common acute abdominal diseases in obstetrics and gynecology.
