Symptoms of pregnancy with cerebral palsy

There are no specific clinical symptoms during pregnancy for babies with cerebral palsy. The birth of babies with cerebral palsy may be related to abnormal development of the central nervous system, or it may be related to the influence of pathogenic factors during the fetal period, delivery, and after the child is born. Many babies with cerebral palsy may suffer from incomplete brain development, genetic metabolic diseases, total bilirubin brain disease, viral encephalitis, etc. For babies with cerebral palsy caused by these factors, there are no obvious abnormal symptoms during pregnancy, either for the pregnant woman or the fetus, and no abnormalities are found during basic pregnancy examinations.

Cerebral palsy caused by congenital growth and development abnormalities during pregnancy is generally not accompanied by other serious malformations. In this case, the pregnant woman herself does not have any obvious abnormal feeling, so it is difficult to detect during pregnancy.

Pregnant women cannot feel the baby with cerebral palsy during pregnancy. Pregnant women can undergo Down syndrome screening at 14-20 weeks of pregnancy to check whether the fetus has any IQ problems. Down syndrome screening will not affect the patient's health. This test is necessary for every pregnant woman. Through the test, abnormalities in the growth and development of the fetus can be detected. When there is a problem, there is a high risk. The patient needs further examination to prevent abnormalities in the fetus and take certain effective measures to prevent it in time.

The main reason for the occurrence of cerebral palsy in babies is closely related to the pregnant mother. Some pregnant women suffer from serious cardiopulmonary diseases during pregnancy. If they do not have regular examinations at this time, and respiratory distress occurs during pregnancy, it may cause fetal brain ischemia in the abdomen, which may lead to the occurrence of cerebral palsy in babies. During pregnancy, expectant mothers are not careful and often stay close to machines with large radiation sources. If they are in such an environment for a long time, the baby will develop abnormally and cause thalamic malformations and abnormal brain development.
