Among them, there is a type of purulent vaginitis, which is even more troublesome. There is purulent substance in the vagina and it has a bad odor. So what should we do if this happens?

Vaginal pus discharge is caused by a condition called purulent vaginitis. Purulent vaginitis is a type of bacterial vaginitis. The disease is caused by a mixed infection of streptococci and some anaerobic bacteria. It is a syndrome caused by the imbalance of microecological balance in the vagina, characterized by increased vaginal discharge, fishy leucorrhea, and itching and burning of the vulva.

Treatment:

1. Oral medication therapy: the principle of patient treatment is to enhance vaginal resistance and inhibit bacterial growth. Ethiophanate can be taken orally, with 7 to 10 doses as a course of treatment. If local inflammation is obvious, antibiotics can be added at the same time, such as metronidazole 7 to 10 g per day as a course of treatment.

2. For vaginal administration, place 0.5 mg of ethidium bromide into the vagina once every night, or place 1 tablet of furosemide into the vagina once every night.

If the inflammation is very severe, oral medication and vaginal administration can be used together.

4. Treatment of sexual partners: male sexual partners need to be treated at the same time to avoid cross infection and prevent recurrence of female patients.

Note:

1. The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain its self-cleaning function. You should pay attention to vaginal hygiene and keep the vulva dry to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.

2. Pay attention to your diet and avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, and focus on light foods.

3. During the treatment, you should avoid having sex. It is best for two people to receive treatment at the same time to avoid cross infection.
