Ovulation bleeding with bright red blood clots

Ovulation bleeding with bright red blood clots

Some women experience bleeding during ovulation, and sometimes blood clots can be seen. What is the reason for this? Under normal circumstances, there will be no bleeding during ovulation. If a woman experiences bleeding during ovulation, she should go to the hospital for a physical examination and treatment. So, what is the reason for bright red blood clots during ovulation?

1. What is the cause of ovulation bleeding?

Under normal circumstances, the menstrual cycle of pregnant women is 28 days, and the ovulation period is around the 14th day between two menstruations. Due to the rupture of the egg and the fluctuation of estrogen, the uterine wall cannot maintain its growth, causing part of the uterine wall surface to rupture and fall off, resulting in initiation bleeding. This is ovulation bleeding. After ovulation, the egg quickly turns into lutein, and the lutein secretes a certain amount of estrogen and estradiol, which quickly repairs the ruptured uterine wall, so the bleeding will stop automatically. Therefore, ovulation bleeding is generally very light and will stop automatically after a few hours or days.

2. What should I do if there is blood clot during ovulation?

Ovulation refers to the whole process in which the egg and the surrounding cumulus granulosa cells are discharged. Women's ovulation period is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tubes for 1 to 2 days, waiting for fertilization; the man's sperm can maintain fertilization ability for 2 to 3 days in the woman's reproductive system, so it is easy to get pregnant by having sex a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, a total of 10 days within the ovulation period, the ovulation period. Since it is very easy to get pregnant during sexual intercourse during the ovulation period, the ovulation period is also called the fertile period or the dangerous period of pregnancy.

Many women will experience ovulation bleeding accompanied by blood clots. At this time, female friends must distinguish whether it is caused by ovulation bleeding or menstruation. If blood clots appear during ovulation, they should go to the hospital for examination in time and cooperate with the doctor for reasonable treatment to avoid more serious adverse effects.
