What are the symptoms of genital warts?

First, the main symptoms

The moist areas of the skin and mucous membranes around the genitals and anus are the most common sites for genital warts to occur. In men, the most common sites are the frenulum, coronal sulcus, foreskin, urethral orifice, genitals, anus and scrotum. In women, the most common sites are the labia majora and minora, vulva, clitoris, vagina, cervix, perineum and around the anus. In the early stages of genital warts, patients may experience itching and pain, with dark red, fine rashes or millet-sized growths that are soft in nature and slightly pointed at the top.

Second, symptoms during the onset of the disease

With the continuous development of condyloma acuminatum, the warts begin to gradually grow and increase in size, and may develop into papillary or cystic shapes, with a slightly wider or banded base and granules on the surface. Warts located in cold, damp and humid areas are often flocculent or papilloma-like and easily coalesce into solid low-echo areas. The warts of genital warts located at the anus often appear as cauliflower-like growths that expand, with a moist or bleeding surface. Thick fluid often accumulates between the particles, emitting a foul odor, and secondary infection may occur after scratching. Genital warts located in dry places with low humidity are smaller and flatter in shape.
