Does pelvic inflammatory disease bleed?

Women's physiological conditions are very special, so they are prone to some physical changes. These changes are often caused by some gynecological inflammations, such as pelvic inflammatory disease and vaginitis, etc. These inflammations can cause women to have irregular menstruation and amenorrhea, causing psychological confusion for female patients. In particular, pelvic inflammatory disease can also induce a variety of symptoms. So will pelvic inflammatory disease cause bleeding?

First, will pelvic inflammatory disease cause bleeding? Yes, pelvic inflammatory disease can be divided into chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and acute pelvic inflammatory disease. There is no doubt that sexual intercourse is prohibited during the treatment of acute pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is an inflammation of the female reproductive organs and surrounding tissues, it is not an inflammation of a single part, it mainly includes endometritis, salpingitis, tubo-ovarian abscess, pelvic peritonitis, etc. When pelvic inflammatory disease occurs, it may be limited to one part or it may involve multiple parts.

Second, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease may cause vaginal and cervical adhesions and pelvic congestion. During sexual intercourse, vaginal and cervical congestion will be aggravated, leading to vaginal contact bleeding. Endometritis is divided into acute endometritis and chronic endometritis. If irregular uterine bleeding occurs, it is generally caused by acute endometritis. The main symptoms are: fever, lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, sometimes bloody or foul-smelling, and sometimes a slightly enlarged uterus and tenderness. The symptoms of chronic cases are basically the same, and there may also be menorrhagia, irregular menstruation or uterine bleeding, lower abdominal pain and obvious lumbar and sacral distension.

Will pelvic inflammatory disease cause bleeding? Yes, hemorrhagic salpingitis is a type of acute salpingitis. It mainly causes bleeding in the interstitial layer of the fallopian tube, breaking through the mucosal epithelium into the organ cavity, and even flowing from the fimbria into the abdominal cavity, causing blood accumulation in the fallopian tube and abdominal cavity. Symptoms: fever, rapid pulse, lower abdominal pain, rebound pain, and in severe cases, positive shifting abdominal dullness and hypotension. Most fallopian tube abscesses have no obvious symptoms in the early stages, and a few are accompanied by abdominal pain. When the abscess develops to a certain extent, it will cause the tumor pedicle to twist or the abscess to rupture, causing sudden pain in the patient. Patients with ruptured abscesses will have bleeding symptoms.
