How is the uterine mass formed?

The presence of lumps of material in the uterine cavity may be due to diseases such as uterine fibroids or uterine polyps. If this symptom occurs after taking medical abortion, it may be that the abortion was incomplete and some embryonic tissue remains. Such patients may also have symptoms such as abdominal pain. Therefore, when this symptom occurs, do not be careless and find the cause in time for symptomatic treatment, and at the same time distinguish it from intrauterine blood accumulation.

Intrauterine hemorrhage is a serious complication after cesarean section. It is caused by uterine atony after cesarean section and is a hidden bleeding. Because the bleeding does not flow outward, it accumulates in the uterine cavity and vagina and is easily ignored. Heavy bleeding in a short period of time can quickly lead to shock, and continued small amounts of bleeding can also gradually lead to shock. Because it happens after a cesarean section, the mother is often insensitive to the effects of anesthetics, and coupled with the trauma of the operation and weak physical condition, once blood accumulates and shock occurs, the mother's life may be in danger if not treated in time.

Causes:

It occurs when incomplete surgical treatment is performed, such as after curettage of a miscarriage or a vesicular fetal mass, the residual placental villous tissue continues to be connected to the decidua, hindering uterine contractions and causing continuous bleeding, while the internal os of the cervix has closed or adhered, or blood clots block the internal os of the cervix, preventing blood from flowing out, resulting in blood accumulation in the uterine cavity.

Differential diagnosis:

1. History of miscarriage or hydatidiform mole curettage in the last 2 to 3 days. It can also be seen after delivery of a full-term pregnancy.

2. Complaints of persistent abdominal pain, such as excessive blood accumulation in the uterine cavity, and symptoms of blood loss such as dizziness and blurred vision. The patient's body temperature may rise slightly, the pulse may speed up, and the blood pressure may drop to varying degrees.

3. Abdominal or vaginal examination reveals that the uterus is extremely enlarged and tense, but there is no obvious tenderness.

4. When the probe enters the uterine cavity, a large amount of dark red blood flows out from the cervical opening.

deal with:

After the diagnosis is confirmed, cervical dilation and suction or curettage are performed to remove retained blood and residual tissue. If there are blood clots and large pieces of tissue in the uterine cavity, they can also be removed with oval forceps. Uterotonics are injected during and after surgery, and antibacterial drugs are given after surgery.
