Cervical hypertrophy is very harmful and can lead to infertility in severe cases

Cervical hypertrophy is one of the more common gynecological diseases in women. It is a clinical manifestation of chronic cervicitis and poses a great threat to women's health. Women with cervical hypertrophy must receive timely treatment. Severe cases can lead to female infertility. Preventive measures must also be taken in daily life!

1. Cause female infertility

There are many cases of infertility caused by cervical hypertrophy. Simple cervical hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy, but severe cervical hypertrophy can cause inflammatory diseases such as endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, and fallopian tube adhesions and obstruction, which can lead to infertility.

2. Affecting women’s normal life

Patients with severe cervical hypertrophy often experience symptoms of bladder irritation such as bloody leucorrhea, bleeding after sexual intercourse, frequent urination, urgency and pain, which seriously affect women's daily life. When the inflammatory lesions spread along the uterosacral ligament to the pelvic cavity, there will be uncomfortable symptoms such as lumbar pain, lower abdominal distension and dysmenorrhea, which will be aggravated during defecation and sexual intercourse.

3. Affecting childbirth

Pregnant women should receive treatment if their platelet count continues to decrease during pregnancy. If it remains at a certain level, they can be observed. Simple cervical hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy, but severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, fallopian tube adhesions and blockage, leading to infertility.

For women who have not yet suffered from cervical hypertrophy, they should take preventive measures in their daily lives: for example, women should do a good job of family planning, and if they have an abortion after an unexpected pregnancy, they should avoid post-abortion infection. Women with poor uterine contraction after delivery should go to the hospital for treatment in time; they should change their underwear frequently, and the underwear should be loose, and they should not wear nylon or other non-cotton underwear.
