Symptoms of real pregnancy

1. Labor pains

When you start to feel abdominal cramps, you can calculate the time from one cramp to the next and the frequency. If the interval is very long, about 10 to 20 minutes, and it improves after walking or resting, it is usually false pain and you do not need to go to the hospital immediately.

The real labor process begins when true labor begins, which will cause the cervix to gradually expand and thin. The difference between true labor and false labor is that the pain intensity of true labor becomes stronger and stronger, the pain lasts longer and longer, and the time interval between each labor becomes shorter and shorter, and will not be relieved by walking.

The latent period is from the start of true labor to the dilation of the cervix by 3 to 4 centimeters. It takes an average of 6.4 hours for primiparas and no more than 20 hours, and an average of 4.8 hours for multiparas and no more than 14 hours. When a primipara has frequent contractions every 3 to 5 minutes, or when a multipara has regular contractions, they can go to the hospital to give birth.

2. Water breaking

Water breaking is caused by the rupture of the amniotic membrane surrounding the fetus and amniotic fluid. Usually, a large amount of transparent watery substance will suddenly flow out of the vagina. Pregnant women feel unable to control the outflow and feel quite panicked. In fact, water breaking is also a normal sign of labor.
